International Privacy (GDPR & CCPA)

Pulse is available to service businesses in multiple countries. This page describes rights that may apply under the EU/UK GDPR and California's CCPA/CPRA, and how to submit a request. For Canada, see our Canadian privacy pages.

Who we are

Pulse Appointments is a booking service. The business using Pulse generally decides why and how its client data is used, while Pulse processes that data to provide the service. Pulse also determines certain uses needed for account administration, security, and billing.

The service operator's identity and contact details are stated in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

GDPR — EU & UK

Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, the business using Pulse is generally responsible for its client data and Pulse processes it to provide the service. Exact roles depend on the context and who determines the purposes of processing.

Depending on the context, lawful bases may include:

  • Performance of a contract (providing booking and the service).
  • Legitimate interest (appointment reminders, security, fraud prevention).
  • Consent (marketing communications — withdrawable at any time).

Your rights (GDPR)

  • Access, rectification, and erasure (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Portability and export of your data.
  • Restriction of, and objection to, processing.
  • Withdraw consent and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise a right, contact us via the contact page. Requests about data held by a business are routed to the relevant controller.

CCPA / CPRA — California

Where the CCPA/CPRA applies, California residents may have rights to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of a legally defined “sale” or “sharing.”

Pulse does not sell personal information. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising their privacy rights.

International data transfers

Your data may be processed in Canada and in countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection rules from your country.

Where applicable law requires a safeguard for an international transfer, we use a safeguard recognized by that law or require the relevant provider to supply one.

For questions about a transfer or to request information about applicable safeguards, email privacy@pulseappointments.com.

Data Processing Addendum (DPA)

Business customers may contact us to discuss data-processing terms required for their use of Pulse.
